What changed: We were forced to remove the option to contribute stories about family members. An internet delinquent began flooding our database with malicious code through the stories option. Our security measures were effective but the aggravation of these attacks is greater than the benefits offered by the stories option. If you would like to contribute a story about a family member, please use the 'Contact Us' menu option to submit it. We will add it to the data base.
The origins of our Hawley line have finally been established. Thanks are due to a number of family researchers who have found key pieces of the puzzle, to the ever expanding volume of source data available through the internet, and to the advent of DNA testing for genealogical research.
There is still work remaining to fill in some details, but there is little if any doubt that the original Hawley immigrant was Joseph Holly who came to Plymouth Colony from England in about 1634 with his wife, Rose Allen. Click here to read the story of our Hawley family. The Holly Connection
Navigating Our Site
To view the record on any of the family members in our data base, use the search menu above to find them and then click on their name in the results list. You can also use the 'Surnames' menu to view a list of all surnames, click on the one you are interested in and then click on the name in the results list. Another way is to view the family tree you are interested in under 'Family Trees' and then click on the name highlighted in the descendant tree. You will then get a set of menu options focused on the person you sought.
Photos are always welcome, so if you have some to share with the family please send them to us. Send Mail
